Design is a world of its own! And it has become with time a really strong part of my life; no matter how i see it…

I used to work in a fashion design house, where gorgeous wedding gowns were created like magic. It was stunning to be part of such a creative atmosphere, a lot of hard work, long hours, but when you had the result in front of you, and a customer that felt like a princess for a moment, then you would forget the long road that preceded and looked forward to more beauty created… My university degrees involved the understanding and dealing with creative people, such as product designers, graphic designers and so on…

Further back in my life I was surrounded by architects and danish design…

No wonder I am drawn to old and new buildings, packaging, creative product design, photography, graphic design, illustrator, decoration….and COLOURS…

Decor8 is where i get some beautiful inspiration for decoration, colours, settings; the pictures are lovely, and the topics inspiring..Holly Becker (the author of this blog) is an American living in Germany, she is followed by thousands of readers, and has started this blog in 2006, long before blogging became a trend.

 

ETSY is a wonderful commercial site, where people around the world sell or buy their handwork! If you want to know, feel and see what is being created right this minute, just take a look at the site and browse; you wil lbe amazed of the content and the creativity!!

 

Therefordesign is a blog about design and art in Lebanon;  held by designers who follow what is happening right now on the design and art scene… Quite an interesting blog, fresh and exciting.
