{Dec. 1} Alfie & the Christmas calendar

First Day at the ELF center, Alfie met with all the elves from his village and from other parts of the world. They looked alike, but still not completely the same. Some were very tall, they came from Scandinavia. Others were short and dark. They came from Africa. They had a nice smile.

The first day was introduction day to the next 24. Each elf was asked to create a calendar showing 24 days. The Christmas calendar was one of the most important tool to prepare families and kids for Christmas. In some countries children would open a little window and find a chocolate behind. Others would have small gifts wrapped in coloured papers and hanged on a string.  Each gift with a date. Other calendars would give the child a different story about Christmas.
