{Dec.15} Alfie makes “julekonfekt”

oat balls

Another great thing about the month of DeCeMbEr is the sweets people just keep making. Sweets based on dried fruits, dates, marzipan, walnuts, almonds, nougat and chocolate.

This recipe is one of Alfie’s favourite, it is called “havregrynskugler” or “oat balls”, Alfie always helps his mom and sibling when doing those, and usually eats at least 3 or 4 of them, before his mom kicks him out of the kitchen!

Mix 100g soft butter with 1 dl powder sugar, 1 tbsp vanilla sugar, 2 tbsp Cocoa, 3 dl oatmeal (or 2 cups rolled oats), 4 tbsp cold coffee (or espresso) .

Form the dough into small balls and roll them in Shredded coconut. Place in the fridge for few hours before eating.

Keep in an airtight container and enjoy!
